Hello FABO,
I am within 6 months of rollin ol Black Betty out for your review and I am looking at a "GO PRO" or "action camera". I can never tell if the 'best 5 action cameras' is sponsored or is just an ad. Consumer report looking advertisements as far as I can tell. So who better to ask? YOU!!! Give me your recommendations for an action jackson camera!

Thanks FABO!

 No experience with any, but any GoPro I see they are pretty good.
**edit** depending on price/quality etc I would look for as complete a kit as possible.
The 'Snapshot' version is a fraction of the price. I think that I wont be using it a bunch so hell I may just use my phone. The only job I have in mind is to give FABO a front row ticket to my pain of the last 6 yrs.....so yknow....nuthin special.:D

I'm sure there is another use you could find for it:rolleyes:
If you can find a kit that has rechargeable battery, under water box, different mounts, etc. When I use phone played thru radio for music, I cant video at the same time.

I have a Go Pro that I never use. I bought it and downloaded the app. I have messed around with it and taken test videos. However, when I want to film something I just end up pulling out my camera phone.

If you want to make me an offer shoot me a PM. Not sure what model it is but it's 4 years old and hardly used.

i have one (cant remember the brand now) but i bought it about 10 years ago
that one was bought for dirtbiking and is a little grainy BUT it came with a wrist band remote (so when it was mounted to the helmet you dont need to fiddle with it) and what i like best about it, is the shape of it
it looks like a cylinder, 2 inches round 4 or 5 inches long and light enough that it mounted to the band of the goggles

so i dont look like im driving around with a toaster on my helmet (like a go pro does)

I have a GoPro 6 Black that I bought used for about 1/3 the price of a new one. I have posted a few videos of me driving around and I am happy with it. I am going to use it to video our moose hunt next week as well.

I have a GoPro 7 White (Father's Day gift). It does well for my needs. However, it does not have removable battery, and only charges through the USB port on my laptop. I have not tried to charge it with the added USB port in my Dart GT. If I remember correctly, it cannot be used while charging. I added a huge memory card, so if I start the camera, the battery would die before it fills the memory card.

Check out my YouTube channel "Dart GT Dan", most of my videos are from using the GoPro.

Are all these units capable of 10-20 mins of run time? I cant imagine I would have anything longer than that.
