well its close to the time that i rip apart my rear to do painting. Now my leafsprings are still good car sits very level. But i do want a little lift back there a guy at a spring shop says add a leaf it will give me inch and a half lift.Thats what i like.New springs are not in the budget right now.Has anyone here done this.any tips on this. Thanks .

I took my spring's in and had 1 main leaf added per side and than reclamped, they work great, that was ten years ago.Cheaper than new ones if your spring's are worth saving. You'll know when they take them apart,Good luck

I did it to my Duster and a 72 Swinger I had.
I doubled up the 3rd spring down.
It didnt hurt the ride either.
If you do it yourself, use a C-clamp to hold the springs together as you remove the center bolt.

I added a leaf to my son's Cherokee and lifted the rear end 2 inches without changing ride comfort. Pretty straight forward to take leaf packs apart and put back together again. Do it one side at a time, and leave the rear end in the car.
