Adjust-A-Jet?

-
They stopped making them didn't they?

I dont think they have?
I've seen em on e-bay that's how I came upon the site

I think the original manufacturer stopped making them and somebody else is now. Might be Earl's now but I can't remember for sure. I wish I knew somebody that had run them so I'd know too. I like the idea of being able to adjust the mixture without taking the whole carb apart.

Just opened up a summit racing cat. and seen Percy's makes them.

so would something like this be worth getting then?
anybody have any hands on experience with it?

I have no idea if there any good to use. I never even seen one in use. But I do like the idea of it though.

Billy tried them a few months ago. Without an ounce of tact, I'll say

THEY SUCK!!!

THEY ARE MADE OUT TO BE GREAT BUT THEY ARENT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL. BUY A SET OF THE HOLLLEY FLOAT BOWLSTHAT ALLOW YOU YO CHANGE THE JETS EASY . THE COST FOR BOTH BOWLS IS LESS THAN THE COST OF 1 ADJUST A JET.

JUST MY 02 CENTS WORTH

Thanks for the info Leanna. This is the first feedback I'd heard about them anywhere. It sure sounds like a neat idea that's why I liked the look of them. I've seen the quick change bowls but forgot about them. I'll look into them again.

I had one - it was nice to be able to change the jetting with a screwdriver, but my carb had so many issues it needed a lot more than a jet change to save it. I ended up ditching the carb altogether and went EFI.

So it worked good for you except other issues huh? That's one for and one against.

I'd love to go with efi too but have to many other bigger needs so that'll probably be away off.

Thanks for the reply

I'd still like to check one out. But the price is pricey and the only thing I heard was from Leanna.

Anybody else?

Where Can I Buy A Set Of The Hollley Float Bowlsthat Allow Me To Change The Jets Easy And What Do They Look Like?

Can you give some detail as to why they arent all that great?
what happened?

Well, it did allow adjusting the main jet. Basically, that carb had been worked over by someone who had a milling machine and very little of a clue about Holleys. It had stuff like a single pumper with mechanical secondaries, looks like he'd tried to alter the idle circuit in a way that I never could figure out but always left it pig rich at idle, and there were a lot of other things wrong with it.

Sounds like some of the stuff I saw some of the guys do in HS auto mech.
