How often should I check or adjust the rocker arms on a Magnum 360 build? I am running a Hughes Engines cam (208º intake, 214º exhaust at .050" on 114º LSA). I'm running their recommended springs, push rods, and adjustable roller rocker arms. New stock hydraulic lifters. Mostly stock rotating assembly with KB Performance pistons. Engine runs great. I just started to hear what sounds like valve train noise when the engine is warm after about 300 miles. I'm not sure if I'm looking for a bad lifter, or if new adjustable roller rockers just need adjustment after break-in. Thank you!

If you are hearing a valve train noise, get to diagnosing it pronto. Don't be like me and put it off until you drop a valve, consequences are disastrous.

I agree. It's parked until I have time to take a look. Just checking here to see if there are any common places to start digging... Thank you!

If the lifter is preloaded 60-100 thou I don’t think you’d ever have to check really.
Rusty is correct.very rarely

If it was a rocker that was loose, it would make more noise cold before the valve expands due to heating up.
That is why they are adjusted hot. So no noise after warmup.
