Adjusting A904 transmission bands

Has anyone adjusted the kickdown band and low-reverse band on an A904. It looks easy per the repair manual; however, I know how things really work.

Is this something I can do at home or should I take it to a transmission shop. This adjustment is recommended a part of routine maintenance and I will be servicing the transmission next weekend. I thought I might take care of this with everything else.

you can adjust the bands at home...low reverse band is inside pan...

1st/kickdown band is on driver side of trans...

Very easy, yet I would let the shop do it.
I learned the hard way that the wrong adjustment can toast a trans.
When was the last time you had an adjustment?
