On my 1968 (318 2 BBl. A/T) The Choke Thermostat (in Intake manf.) is adjustible from rich to lean.any tips on adjusting ? My engine runs on fast idle way too long. wondering if a lean adjustment would help shorten the fast idle somewhat. Thanks in advance

Lean it out. Make sure the fast idle cam is clean and free.

There is another fast idle adjustment also. Start with the thermostatic spring adj. in the middle of the range. In this position, where does the fast idle screw sit on the cam? I would locate it on the lowest step by bending the link.

First check to make sure the heat riser passage is not cloggged(they used to do that, A LOT). it is what heats the choke stove ....
