Adjusting Parking Brake on 73 Duster

I recently swap the rearend on my duster from a 7 1/4 to 8 3/4 and i got it all buttoned up but once i got the parking brake reconnected and tightened down, its as if the parking brake is set, but the e brake handle isnt pulled. Is there something i missed when i put it back together or something i can do to loosen up the tension on the brake cables? Im lost someone help

I think that is same setup as my 75. All the adjustment is in the long J bolt at front right side of the intermediate cable. Hooks into cross frame near the t bar socket. If you can't back it off enough there you may need a longer intermediate cable. Dont know if different with that rear

What cables did you use going to the rear? Those could also be frozen

the cables are all free, i wonder if the ones off this new rearend are shorter or something because i had to really pull on the cables to get em to reach the j bolt. so i undid it all the way and the passenger side is still locked up i dont know why, ii think if i get a longer j bolt that should help but i still dont know whats wrong with the passenger side is locked up
