advice on leaf spring pricing

My 63 Valiant is riding too low so I got a quote from a local spring shop for some work; What do you think?
assuming my steel and springs are good $365 to reset: to add a leaf to mine another $70 on top of that; $435
new: $534
I'm outside of Boston: where you can't buy a hamburger for less than 8 bucks and a parking space will cost you a meager $20,000 in the city.
any MA members know of a reputable shop for this work? Thanks

I have heard good thing about ESPO springs and things for new sets (should be cheaper)... just not sure if they have early A springs... may be worth a call. They have a web site too...

i would just buy new ones from espo... http://www.springsnthings.com/ you can get the XHD ones in +1 or 2".


if you don't see them on the site call them. i know for a fact they still sell them.

Another vote to order new from Espo or John R Spring. http://www.johnrspring.com/

I've even used JC whitney and got John R springs from them.
