I heard that if you put the new style aluminum valley plate on your engine you have to remove one head to remove it . Is this true. I can't see how the heads would interfer with the valley plate . I havent had a chance to shop for one but whats you guys thoughtson this.
 
Yes it true with some heads indy heads for example .
You can get valley plates with a removable center to access the lifters.
 
Depends on which heads you have. I use a solid valley plate with my Trick Flow heads and it goes on and off without pulling the heads. The aluminum batwing side pieces are required though in order to get it all sealed up properly.

Hey Andy ,I am also using the trick flow heads, Did you make your own ? If not can you give me a contact for the part.
 
I had one on my sport Fury. Worked great. Changed intakes to a RPM from a Torker2. Thw RPM wouldn't fit due ro heat crossover on bottom of intake.
