When I purchased my 71 Demon 340 a few months ago, it had the wrong carb on it. I just bought a rebuilt 72 Carter Thermoquad that is supposed to be correct for the car. The other carb had a single threaded rod that held the air cleaner on. This carb does not have a place for a threaded rod, rather has three tube shaped pieces (two in back, one in front) that look like a bracket should attach to them in order to attach the air cleaner. Does anyone have a picture of how the 340 air cleaner should be attached?
