Alternator Kit for 360 drag car/front motor plate

I have a 1972 Dodge Dart bracket car, 360 small block with W2 heads utilizing a front motor place. Stock style water pump. Does anyone know if there is an alternator kit out there that either works for this setup, or can be easily modified to work? Tired of recharging batteries between rounds.

I had an alternator on my bracket car, but it didn't work out. Idling through the pits, starting the engine several times in staging, the 11 sec. blast just wasn't enough to charge the battery.

Some claim the higher voltage of the alternator will give a hotter spark, but I never saw any performance improvement.

I have seen one turned around backwards and mounted to the frame (alternators don't care about direction of rotation), but I don't know how it worked out.

I don't have a small block, but I mounted mine down where the fuel pump would normally be, using the motor plate and an existing head hole. Built everything custom to line pulleys up. Milled .250 of back of water pump also. Not sure u could do that (mill pump) on a small block tho.
