Hey, everyone.
So, I'm working on the Interior and was planning on fabbing up some aluminum door panels. The problem I'm having is all the different elevations on the door itself. What's the best way to get around that? I was trying to refrain from cutting out the "webbing" of the door. Or is that not going to jeopardize the strength of the door? Thanks in advance!

This is what I was referring to. It's in a 73 Dodge dart sport 340...

You could do em like this, fold the edges down so it will stick out as far as you need it, I siliconed some small flat washers to all the holes I drill in the door to space the panels out so the screws wouldnt "sink in" to the metal.

Very long day. Those look awesom. Too intricate for me. I'm looking for simplicity right now! Thanks again guys.

Who made these?

They are just tin panels with flames bead rolled in then I wrapped in carbon fiber wrap, need to get some arm rests next. The hydro dip carbon fiber pattern was just wayyyyyyy to expensive. Doing the wrap with just two hands was the hard part.

oh - I would think that you should be able to do it without cutting the door up... and yes, if you over do it cutting up the "webbing" you will compromise the door strength
