Aluminum driveshaft?

I was told that some mid 90's ram trucks had aluminum driveshafts with the 1350 u-joints, and if they had the a-518 auto that the slip yoke will work in the 727. Has anyone else used this driveshaft and does it seem like a good idea? Looking for opinions thanks, John

It's a light duty unit. Not suited for high performance use. In the Rams and Dakota's that used them Dodge had the speed limiter set at 95 mph. The ones with steel shafts had 115 mph limiters.

I'm using the 1350 u joints but also using the steel 3 inch tube behind a 500 HP 440/727
