I'll go on record on this thread too. The buyer specifically asked for USPS, he is the one paying the shipping so he should get the items shipped however he wants. The seller quoted him a shipping price out his A** before ever checking on shipping cost, then asked for another $17.00 before ever checking on shipping cost, then told his "shipper" to send them the cheapest way, completely disregarding the buyers request. He then stated that USPS shipping was $70.00 after his "shipper" finally took them to the post office, way over his original $42.00 "estimate". Complete disregard for the buyers wishes is what is at the root of this matter, and ignorance on the sellers part. But to top it off, he tells the buyer that he is SOL and is keeping his $$$ after his trail of mistakes!!!??

If you're going to sell parts here, there or anywhere, be prepared to have to ship them. If you're prepared to ship them, do some homework on shipping. If you're going to offer shipping to other countries, investigate the methods and restrictions before commiting to do so. If you don't know, ask!!! You're on FABO for Christ sakes, you can get an answer here in 2 minutes. You're making the $$$selling parts, earn your money by doing the homework, don't just rake in the $$, have your "shipper" do all the legwork, then hide behind your ignorance!!! My .02!!! Geof

I've ran through it all. This should be over and done, zip, gone. My take on selling/buying stuff here. Either way lets call it a gamble. Guess what, so is putting your money in a bank even in your local hometown. So is sending your money to the IRS. You aint gona get what you paid for and that's a given but we do it anyway. To sell something there has to be a commitment to help someone simply, at least for me, there is NO profit involved. All of this effort takes time from my already busy schedule. Cutting or drilling the part out does take some time and does need to considered in the transaction unless you're the type that has so much time on your hands. On the shipping i try and guess so as not to have to, again, take more time and head to get a real shipping cost. For the sale of a $20 piece, by the time i investigate that, there is absolutely no gain for the seller. I have in my posession a box of flat rate boxes that i use simply because i already know the cost if it fits in that box. I screw up and did so just recently. I charged a guy $45 for a part sent to Austrailia. The shipping was $43 and some change. I sent it anyway. No fault of his. I have parts out as we speak to people with out any funds. Not sure they would be happy with the part so i send it to em and ask em to let me know if it will work for em. To sum it all up i'll give ya my opinion. Lifes a gamble everyday. You run the risk when you deal with people you can't see and some even then when your buying. In the same manner a seller should do everything in his or her power in making all transactions succesful. If ya told someone something then man up and make it happen. If any party to a transaction are not aware of the risks and obligations then momma didn't teach em right. I will also say that continued screwup will be and have been dealt with in the past. Make it happen guys.
