Another 8-3/4 Rear Question: BRAKE HOSE?

In the 65 Dart, my 8-3/4 is bolted in, brake cables in,

What to do with the brake hose,
I bought a new brake hose to match the rear ('71 I think) and it doesn't want to make it to the body bracket for the hose to mount up, its really close but has a lot of tension if I try to hook it in there.

Thoughts?

Truck hose maybe?

Modify the bracket if the hose is long enough.Maybe a C body brake hose will work.

I ran into this years ago when I installed the 8 3/4 in my 66 Cuda. I simply went to a mobile hydraulic hose truck owner who services semis on the road and got an extension from him!! I think I paid him like $6 or something of that nature and it extended the hose just enough to take off the tension when the rear was hanging on the lift!!
