There are 4 of these clips attached to the edge of the headliner in our 73 Duster. Anyone know what they are for?

Yep, Redfish is right, they hold the shoulder belt up out of the way when not in use!! Geof

hmmmm, that's the only thing I could think of that they were for, but the placement was confusing me. One is in a position (about even with your shoulder) that makes sense, the other is toward the front corner of the door about 6" back from the sun visor. Either way, they are kinda ugly so will not be going back in when my wife finishes covering the headliner.

Yeah the belts are folded and poked behind them. Once the belt is used it's nearly impossible to figure out exactly how it goes back as neatly as it once was.

actually that does make sense. I forgot the way the seat belts were made in the 73. I already transferred belts from a 74 into the 73 so there is really no reason to keep the clips at all. Thanks guys!
