another dumb question lol

Is it possible to take a 408 stroker kit and put it inside of a 318?

well, if the kits for a 360 then you would run into the clearance issues. 360s have larger main bearings wich also require different oil pan for the main caps.

they make a 4 inch stroke crank for 318,340 too

i think they crank around 390 cu out of the 318 with one of the stroker cranks?

someone here knows more about more about mopar strokers

Correct.

A 360 stroker crank won't go into a 318 block

4" crank in a 318 +.030 block makes a 390

I dont think its very thick. Its out of a bigger 80s chrysler car. I cannot remember the name. Its being bored 30 over so what would that make it? Thanks for all your input guys.

As Crackedback said in his reply, 4" stroke in 318 +.030 = 390cid

I have a 1970 dated block you can have, it should be alot thicker then the one you have. It's never been rebuilt, so the bores are standard. It should be re-built though...but it's free!
