"Totally destroying 'out-of-date' cam event myths." is the title of one of DV's latest video's, I watch it (which like usual is hard to do) waiting for some knowledge and facts, and all I got whining and self aggrandizing, 99% of it is how's he's the cam master and done more dyno work than anybody, starts knocking on Pro Stock teams limited cam testing, gave almost zero tech and didn't show like always any data, no dyno results backing up what he said or has said if he's got 10's of thousands of dyno runs show some be the easiest way to prove himself.

I'm no DV hater I got like 5 of his books, I'm sure in a lot that I say there's pieces I got from him, but this "Totally destroying 'out-of-date' cam event myths." which he don't and who is really saying the opposite on LSA, I don't hear many saying tighter LSA don't generally give more midrange torque ? These myths for the most part seem strawmaned. Or from before my time was wide LSA a big thing in the 70's, 80's ?

Worst was his fans in the comments, I don't know what video they watched but Apparently DV is king and blew their minds with the knowledge and wisdom he shared with them, must of been subliminal cause I didn't hear it.

One fan was our own Daledavies that mention our site, said he had to quit to many fatheads (guessing me)

I'm not saying he doesn't have anything valuable to share but this video is a dumpster fire, I find most of these guy's are modest except DV he loves to toot his own horn and almost never backs up what he says and he's suppose to have 10,000's + dyno runs of proof.

And I thought it was just me. I came across one of his videos earlier this week in another thread about fuel mileage and couldn't get past the first minute before my eyelids started getting heavy.

He also mentioned sbc cam program that he's about to release so probably trying to drum up some attention but to call your video "Totally destroying 'out-of-date' cam event myths." and not to do it in the slightest is what gets me plus all his fan act like he slam dunked on whatever strawman he's arguing with (whining about).

What a blowhard. Let me piece together what I got out of that video: He is an 82-yr old man that talks sh*t (hence the fly arriving at minute 13) without proving any data to back up his claims and, as he put it, was "ranting and raving". Oh, he did remind everyone of simple physics that the greater the compression at the top of the cycle, the more push on the exhaust gasses, duh! This was my first, last and only viewing of anything DV. Let all those Chevy Neanderthals plant their lips on his butt; I'll continue to appreciate the excellent tech info provided right here.

The joke is on all of us (myself included). as even though he’s “all hat and no cattle”, he’s getting the “clicks” (some of them from us), and clicks equates to money. Plus, he’s living rent free in some of your heads, and since bad press is still press….

I dont watch. I've skimmed through a few a long time ago. After that I became disgusted and pondered why I should continue on YouTube while so many people want to watch **** like that.
There's an audience that does want to sit and watch 20 minute videos on the edge of their seat waiting or hoping there's something to learn. Some people just like watching people do the same **** they do. I don't know what the magic formula is ,or care... I post when I feel like it and aside from that I check out the people I subscribe to to support them and see what they're doing and then after that I don't give a flying f...

I can't watch his video's it's just a bunch of rambling, even if he had something to say, not worth the effort.

I've watched a bunch of yours especially on porting, I like them pretty informative.
