Shifter didn't lock in park, dropped into reverse after I got out to make sure I was in the door far enough to close it.. like I've done a 100 times before. Pinned me to my pop machine as I reached back just thinking it was rolling.. surprise!

Ooof, that HURTS.

I've got a pickup in the garage that went through a flood and it's bad enough, but that's SALT WATER.
All I can picture is flooding them again in clean fresh water to carry out all the salt

Those wing cars, or any classic car that was in that salt water, will need to be 100% stripped and dipped. The only way to kill all the active rust in the nook and crannies. If you don’t, expect problems down the road.
