Not sure if this is the right place for this, mods please move it if it needs to be...
Anyways, every time I drain my radiator, I drain it into an enclosed drain pan specifically for Antifreeze... no matter how clean you think it is, it isn't. This is my hack to filter out the Antifreeze when refilling the radiator after you work is done. Go to Harbor Freight or your local automotive paint store and buy some paint strainers. Put one in a clean funnel and Wala! Your Antifreeze is clean of debris. See pic

You can also use a coffee filter, or get a funnel with a built-in screen strainer.

But no matter how you do it, filtering fluids that are intended to be reused is always a good idea!
I even filter my drain oil just to see if there's anything funky going on.

More great ideas! I did get a funnel that had a screen in it, BUT the screen wasn’t fine enough and was letting fine particles in. I like the coffee filter idea too!

I’m installing a radiator hose filter on my freshly rebuild. I might even install one on my heater hose if I plan on using my heater.

Not mine.
