Is there any differences between brands since they all probably come from the same Chinese foundry?

Thanks,
Tom

Okay I'll clarify a few things. They are both 4340 and they are both 6-bolt. Guess I should have asked is there any differences in the counterweights. Example: Knife & Bullnose, Clean forgings? Anything that makes one better over the other aside from the price?
Tom

I had a 500 cubic inch 440source assembly in my Daytona and put 275 plus 8 second passes on it. The 440 block finally cracked but that rotating assembly is still going strong in a street combo.

That part number is from RPM International.
Says 4340 Nitride 6 bolt. I could not find anymore info on it

I have a couple of RPM cranks. They are part of the Probe stroker kits I have. They are way nicer than a source crank. I talked to a couple of machine shops and this is how they rated them. There a fair bit better than 440 source. About the same as Scat and Eagle. Molnar and K1 are better. Then ofcource there are better stuff out there yet. First 3 pics are of a balanced 4 1/2 stroke crank in a 543 kit. Last 3 pics are of a 4 1/4 stroke crank that’s part of a 505 kit. Kim

Thanks for the great review Kim. Honestly I assumed that all the Chinese cranks were about the same.

Thanks for the great review Kim. Now after reading your post I have another choice to make. I can buy the DG3 for $654 or a Molnar for $753 (I am a dealer). Honestly I assumed that all the Chinese cranks were about the same and since all I ever order from Molnar are connecting rods I hadn't even considered buying one from them. For only $99 more it sounds like the Molnar crank would be a better choice.

Tom
Yes, Molnar is better. K1 is Tom Molnar. He started K1 a number of years ago after selling Molnar Industries. Give him a try as he now has to have better stuff than his old Molnar stuff which was great stuff. Probably the best as far as the cheaper stuff. U know like Callie’s, Ohio among others. Kim

I've known Tom Molnar for many years. He worked at Oliver before going to K1 and I bought a lot from him there. Then he started Molnar. Unless you know something I don't he's still at Molnar.
