Any GM Mechanics on board?

My gmc 3500 7.4 2wd needs the oil pan replaced.
It looked if though there was enough room to pull it without lifting the engine. No such luck.
I`m not so sure it will come out even if I were to lift the engine the little distance that will be allowed. Will the engine have to be pulled? :banghead:

I don't know for sure, but on some cars and trucks I lower the pan and unbolt the oil pump and pull them out together. It does make it hard to reinstall. Did you google it?
