Are high back buckets hard to do? Or can your average guy do them? Seat foam needs to be replaced.Should I turn it over to a shop or can this be done. One shop here the guy cuts foam to fit with a knife the other shop dye cuts them with CNC machine, or will the Classic Ind. Or Legendary foam work. The installation sheet says it can be complicated. What should I do?

I'm going to be doing mine in the near future.
I've been watching youtube vids on the subject
hoping to pick up some pointers.
Jegs and Summit both sell PUI and Legendary stuff.
Hope this helps and Good Luck!

Most do it yourselfers are satisfied with their results.
If you want new car showroom results you should probably hire a professional.

He hit the nail on the head with this statement. I reupholstered my seats myself. They are certainly not perfect, but they are still pretty good. I did not replace the seat foam on my seats. The hog ring pliers are a must. I would also recommend getting someone to help you. I could not imagine being able to do the rear seat or the bucket seat tops without an extra pair of hands.

Here you can see the before seat and after seat bottom:

It really depends on how perfect they need to be to make you happy.
When a customer brings me their seats and covers he wants them done better than what he can do himself.
To make them show quality is not so easy. Many times the covers don't fit as they should and I have to cut them apart and repair them so they fit proper. Their is a lot of work that
goes into a nice job sometimes. Other times they go right on
and look great.
You never know till you fit the cover how much effort it will take for a great looking set of seats.
I always recommend legendary for our mopars but they
can have flaws sewn into them same as any brand.

FWIW if you do get a shop to do the job, tell them you need it done by a certain date and get them to agree on it. No offense to anyone but upholstery shops are notorious for taking a long time to finish.

Thanks guys, VA, Those seats look very good. Nice job.(wanta do mine) I did do my rear seat and it turned out good. Just don't know about the front seats.

I was pretty happy with them, but I might pull one or both of the bucket seat tops apart and do it again because they had a few more wrinkles that I would have liked. But I also didn't go with new seat foam either.
