Curious if anybody is running this grind in a slant (or anything else). Specs: 235/237adv, 207/208@.050", 107 lsa, 107 icl, 44.5 ivc, 22 overlap (header, light port, stock valve size, and short runner intake), 97vp w/9:1 (161.4 psi), .462"/.465" with 1.5:1.

If not, what grind are you running and how do you like it? No judgement....

Dave Crower (RIP) made a custom grind for my ex-wife's slant 6 for her Dart...

If I remember correctly it was 248° duration and .490" lift... She didn't complain about it...

Dave Jr. may be able to look up the specs...

I didn't see a 2106 grind on the Oregon grind chart. Are the specs a hydraulic ramp, 194/204@.050", .460/.480", 110 lsa, 105 icl?

Let me pull the cam card when I get home.

The specs on the Oregon site have not been updated in probably ten years. Id you call Ken and give him your email address, he'll send you an updated grind list.

Something in the 260-266 duration .480 lift sounds nice.
I’m running the Howard’s grind 255 duration 220 @.50 .479 lift. If I could go back I would have got a custom grind 268/270 .460/.490 lift something a bit nasty like Robs.

The one I have for the unicorn head motor is a good one and I am looking forward to what it runs like. .495 236 @ .050 on a 108.

Was it an existing lobe pattern reclocked or a clean sheet of paper? I emailed Ken this morning. :)
I wonder if he has slant cores and lifters to regrind.

It was on an updated grind list. I don't remember if it was on a 108 or not, but they will change the LSA at no charge. He may have lifters, but I know he is short on cores. He'll probably want yours to grind.

I settled on grind 1793D, 235 adv, .485", 106 lsa, 106 icl, 43.5 ivc, 23 overlap, 99vp (162,48 psi) at 9:1 and 1200ft. Tried different lsa and adv/ret but happiest all around with the specs as-is. Fwiw, the same cam in a stock long block '80s 9:1 318 should be 137vp. Seems like it will be a good RV grind on good gas with 10 initial.
