anyone ever read CARtoons?

Sure. Loved those comics and the drawings. I picked up my first issue back in the early 70's. tmm

I loved the cartoon about doing 80 (MPH) on I-80 when you're 80 (year old)....

And when Krass & Bernie's southern redneck cousin came to town in his old Ford pickup and then blew away the guy teasing them.... Ended up that 'ol Ford had a blown Hemi under the hood..... "Ok meadow muffin, put yer money where yer mouth is...."

And didn't Trosley do a how-to draw for different cars each month???

Oh yeah.... the iron-ons.... We had mom iron a few of them on shirts for us....

x2

I loved Trosley....

I remember seeing a Trosley cartoon in one of the 'men's magazines' where a reporter at the scene of a plane crash is holding up a severed arm and says "and the timex is still ticking!" as his cameraman laughs.
Very unlike his CARtoons stuff lol (but I still recognized his work immediately).

...and I only read that sort of magazine for the comix:D

Used to subscribe to it.

There was a book store in the strip mall near our grocery store where we used to get ours...

They were not so easy to find in "regular" stores.... #-o

But worth the trek.... :D

Yup, Cartoons, Mad, Cracked, Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers...all quality reading that made me what I am today...whatever that is.
