Anyone Live in Scottsbluff or Kimball Nebraska?

My wife and I are looking to relocate to someplace where my 67 Dart convertibles can be happy in a large shop. We have seen several properties in the Kimball, and Scottsbluff areas.

I'm looking for first hand accounts of what it is like living there in this decade.

Weather? Hail, Snow, Wind, Humidity
The airport in Scottsbluff? Seems like a lot of great properties are pretty close to it, I grew up under the takeoff path of Orange county airport so I'm a bit shell shocked!
Bugs? Mosquitos, Roaches, Termites (I hate Bugs!)
Snakes? I like Garter snakes, not so much Rattle Snakes
People? in your business, leave you alone, ostracize you for being from somewhere else (when we moved from CA to CO I got our license plates change the first week! We like to fit in.)
Areas to stay away from? Every town has them!

Anything else I did not think of?

Curious as to why moving out of CO. It seems to be a nice state and great snow/mountains etc...

It has turned into California and in some ways worse than CA. I grew up in CA from 1962 to 2006. I just couldn't take it anymore. 19 years ago CO was a nice place to live and breath FREE. but so many east and west coast people have come here to make it the utopia that did not work where they were from. Its oppressive. PLUS the cost of houses is on par with CA if you want enough land to build a shop etc.
