It's in the mid 70's sunny with no humidity. A perfect Illinois spring day. I have mowed our yard twice and the pasture once. On the way home from work yesterday I saw a gaggle of wild turkeys on the Del Rey road, over 30 deer near Turtle lake and a couple of Bald Eagles in a dead tree. And my buddy the big Rooster pheasant on his stump in some pheasants forever ground. When I got to the intersection of Old Iroquois 47 and route 49 I saw an old rare green bird on the back of a trailer. It was a 70 Roadrunner. I was in my Dailey driver Chevy pickup so I had to pull up next to the driver with my bright blue Mopar hat on so he would know I was on his side. We gave and received simultaneous thumbs up and big smiles. The midwest can be a wonderful place.
