At some of these swap meets ...I am going to be offering a new-and-improved hub cover. Instead of some people using a rag in the hub OR tape OR a loose fitting hard cap ... I have a soft, snug fitting, full coverage cover that completely protects the hub against damage and rust.
This "junk" converter ? ... just as long as the hub is OK ..... all else does not matter.
