Hi All,
Too often we like to shout out only about bad vendor experiences we've had. Today I want to take an opportunity to shout out about a great one.
I've recently had a wonderful product and service experience from Apipco with their plastic glove box liners and just wanted to let everyone know what kind of vendor Apipco is.
I originally ordered a non-AC box for my '69 Barracuda and it shipped out and arrived from across the country very quickly. I had some serious struggles with installation as I could not get the top 2 mounting screws to line up because something was hitting in the dash cavity. It was only off by a couple of millimeters, but I could not get the top screws in no matter how I tried.
I contacted Carl at Apipco and we had some phone and email conversations. He let me know that in over 1000 boxes made, he's only had 1 other fitment issue like this - on his brother's 1969 Barracuda, so familiar territory for me as mine has resisted every effort and every part I've put into it so far.
Carl made me another box, an AC version, as it trims an inch off the back on the side where I believed it to be hitting and shipped that out to me as his main concern was making sure I got something that worked. He several times said he didn't want me to even consider modifying or trimming anything in the car to fit the box - he'd make a box fit the car as it should even if he had to custom build one for me.
During the wait for the new box, we continued to have conversations just checking in, where we commiserated on the pains of working on our cars. In addition to his brother having a Barracuda, Carl has a Duster. So they're also Mopar faithfuls!
Their only concern the entire time was that I was a satisfied customer and I truly appreciate that.
The new box arrived and went in without a hitch, and the original one I received has already made its way to another FABO member local to me. He also liked the look and quality of it. It is a fantastic product. I'll put one of these in every car I end up having.
Apipco is a great company with sterling service and a product that is just as good as that service.
