Ar15 pistol

-
I know there are alot of gun guys like me here so I'm gonna go ahead and ask here. Do any of you have a ar pistol? I'm thinking about building one I have everything here to do it except the barrel, buffer tube and gas tube I have a extra lower and upper and tons of spare small parts. I cant decided between a 7.5 and a 10.5 inch barrel. And I am in between a 5.56 and a blackout the 556 would be alot cheaper to shoot and plink with but I think the 300 would be more suited for that short of a barrel. I would think the 5.56 out of a 7 inch barrel would loose all velocity and energy.

Here's why I say not under 10.5.

Or... know where your hand is in relation to the muzzle of the weapon... just a thought.

Made some progress on the budget ar pistol project. Here is what iv got. I bought a new 80 percent lower I got them in bulk for 16 each. I bought the cheapest pistol buffer 21 , brace 20, lpk 36, so 93 in the entire lower. The upper I picked up for 40 , 45 for the barrel, 25 for the brake, 28 for the handguard and the bolt for 65. So 203 on the upper. So the entire gun minus the optics I have less that 300 in. 296 to be exact. Here are a few pics of the lower milling.

The lime green lower is for a different build it's a 300 blackout here is the upper for it. I'm gonna cerekote it lime green too. The handguard and furniture will remain black.

Just do this, for less than 15 bucks. I'm getting ready to do one myself.

I did a savage edge 3006 like that a few years ago it turned out really well I was really impressed. And it has held up very well been on there for 7 years or better and been thru countless hunts and trips to the range.

In my experience hydro dipping is nice for a very short time. It doesnt seem to last long and fades easily and is pretty expensive.
Same here. It also chips and peels easily. I had it done on my dove gun and the brambles and such from the woods killed it quick.

There is a big difference using dip film and the technique I posted that uses true paint. This technique is also very inexpensive. Watch the video.

Nasty rainy day here perfect for some gunsmithing. Got the pistol lower finished and the upper mocked up. Looks really good I'm loving the color combination.
