Are polyurethane bushings noisy?

-
overlube them when you install them on any part that has the bushing touch metal. even after that, some can be noisy, some aren't.

Polygraphite had some noise when cold and going over speed bumps.
Don't notice it anymore.
I'm either used to it after 6 years of driving or something has changed.

Poly bushings are prone to squeeking - that's why they came out with the graphite impregnated bushings - to help eliminate the squeeks. Either way, lube the heck out of them prior to install to help prevent the noise.

Thanks guys. I got my leaf spring hangers in today. I thought they were supposed to be black, but they have that yellow coating on them instead. I guess its for strength? I put them in place and they seem to fit so I assume they are the right ones? The only reason why I ask is because the auction on ebay said they were black and the ones up for bid with the yellow coating on them were for the B-bodies.

Also, what do you think of these bushings? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...STRK:MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=140200333562&rd=1

urethane is great for the leaf springs. especially in the front eye. it keeps the axle from wanting to twist sideways from the track position.

Thanks guys. I guess ill use the graphite impregnated bushings and regular shackles in back. Do you think the stock style shackles will be ok with my car? It wont be a drag car, but i saw some HD adjustable shackles.
