You mean just a "plane" shop, right?

Thanks YY1. I'm just using it for my toy box. I'll probably put an alarm system in it but I don't think I'll have any problems. The asking price was $50K but we did some horse (or in this case, house trading)...
Tom

50K is a steal for 2000 ft with lifts and roll up doors.

I'd bet you couldn't pour the slab for that new!

I love all the "outside the box" solutions.

Shows that where there's a will, there sure is a way.

I put 20K down on my "out of the box" solution, which is .5 miles from home and it pays for it's self on the mortgage plus all the expenses. Next year will be rough, as my largest tenant (4 20x22 units) is moving out. On the positive side, I get his 1760 sq/ft back to do with as I please.

Since the pics, I've replaced the man doors and started painting the garage doors on that building. Hopefully I'll be able to paint the building and repave the driveway in the next few years.

Eventually I'd like to put a lift in one of the larger bays. Probably a 4 post so it's portable and more suited for storage. maybe with alignment tables and a trolley jack.

BTW- if anyone in central FL needs a "project car friendly" storage unit.....

I have a new garage, my son and wife seem to think it is there for some of there stuff :banghead: I put my foot down and told them to remove all and anything that is not mine out now that winter is on it's way, 36 degree's here this morning. I need my own space and by goodness it better be out by last week :protest:

And it worked :tongue9: wow I need to voice myself more often :D

My up grade from the first nest to protect Victoria :eek:ccasion:

Now I have a warm and strong structure to kick my feet up and know Victoria is protected, yes it is small but memike is a happy camper in my 12X24 garage :glasses7:

Garages in Hamburg are really expensive, so I looked for something in the vicinity... And found it in a village 40 miles north.

It's 3.500 sq.ft., and it has been a stable for pigs before...

Up to now there's a drilling-bench, a big compressor, hydraulic 20-to-press, lots of tools, sandblasting-box and some more. The base for a lifter is done, next week it will be installed..

And my mobile bbq...

My friend who builds metal buildings and puts steel roofs on houses built my shop for me about 7 years ago. its 31' wide X 27' deep, walls are 10' high, peak is 12' i had a 18' steel roll up door put in. and built a loft for parts storage. it has 100 amp service going in, and the slab is 6" thick. i have 2 cars in there, and still room to pull in a daily driver for maintenance. eventually i would like to build a small office in the corner. it was built as an insulated pole barn, and the slab was poured in after the walls went up using the walls as part of the concrete form. it is now fully moved in/lived in as evidenced by the last 2 pix of my poor mans rotisserie i am currently building.

My dad is doing most of the work since I moved across town but I help out when I am home. This winter we did the ceiling, lights, furnace, plumbing, and insulated the ceiling and walls.
