Around Town Car ****

67 Power Wagon: This is the one that we were talking about earlier in this thread.

My ex and I call this the "infamous green". This color was very popular back then and it seemed like all the old people had a car this color, especially the old Chevys...

So here you go, the "Infamous Green 70 Coronet 4 Door" (complete with paint "patina")....

Damn Karl! You had a real good day huh!

Yeah, that's what I was sayin'. They cruise here every Friday, I usually see about 20 cars there. Last night there were at least 50. I didn't charge my camera battery and only had a half charge thinking it would be enough, but it was a great turnout and I couldn't take pictures of everything before running out of batteries.

I still haven't posted the rest of the ones from the show that I had a full battery and ran out only 1/4 of the way through. There were many more cars at that one. I'll save those for another time. There was even a 22 or 24 Dodge there that was real cool! The owner started it up for us and it just puttered. It sounded like it was going to die, but that's the way that they were back then. You could use your belt from your pants on it if your fan belt broke, and it came with an oil can under the hood.

Check out this one. He really keeps the theme going.

Look at the little connecting rod in the center of the bar between the headlights. And it says "God's Website" on the bottom of the grille with the spider web on it.

Now notice how the steering column/shaft is also supported by a connecting rod.

Holy **** Karl, I'd say you had fun!

The Coronets I spotted a '68 (I THINK) it was, and a definate '70 (the infamous Green one) WOW!!!!!!

<----Coronet Lover, and a second to the late '60's Darts, My 2 FAVORITE cars.....'66 to '69 Dodge Dart, Swinger, or even the Scamp, HELLS YEAH.....Good looking "little" muscle cars, that can roar with the biguns! Not sure why, I like the Dart so much too, I mean they're both kinda "firsts" as I know of atleast 10 that were in my family, HELL I rode in all of them, and my Dad had probably 6 out of the 10.....I can say, I worked on probably 8 of them total....Those were the good ole days for me, brings back fond memorys of dirty, nasty, grease monkey me when I was a kid all the way till I was/turned to an adult.....
I have to see what "car" pictures I have that needs scanned taken BEFORE I ever had a digital camera on an old Concorde 110.... There are a few....Hell I think one even exists when I was down right filthy from working on I think it was a '68 Dart Swinger my Uncle had and was putting a 383 in it, as thats the only Mopar engine he had at the time, was a squeeze to say the least!

This all brings back good memories of those times! Thanks Karl!

Stopped by "Mopar Pete's" today, seen the White '70 Super Bee was out again, BUT also noticed that he got a NEW one to add to the collection, a '68 Scamp I think.....I'll have to get pictures when I have a chance!

I can also tell ya, there are 2 Dodge Diplomats there too, one looks like a storage wagon, parts wagon for the other one. not they are anything special or so I think anyway......

Plus what I think might be a '73-'74 Dodge Dart Custom that was setting back in further and difficult to get a good pic of is now out in the open and will get pics of it as I can as well. I sort of got permission to get pics as I want due to being a "local" and a multi seen person around so.....

Local car cruise.
SUPER CLEAN and nasty sounding 66(?) dart GT
Factory(?) violet 4 speed vert
Vintage olds sporting a rocket
Among others

More, including pulling the 340 from my friend's Challenger for a little TLC.
Car has been off the road since the early 90's.
