Will an auto. O.D. (I believe it's a 47RH) from a 2001 Dodge 2wd V10 truck engine bolt directly up to a SBM engine or will I need an adapter? Just curious.

No, it won't. The V10 and Cummins have a different bell housing pattern than small the gas engines.
You'd need a 46RH transmission as that has the small block bell housing pattern.
