I wonder why this thread hasnt been stickied by the mods?. I see a few comments in this thread and a few others about how tough it was to find this thread. and being that so many people do the column to floor shift conversion and either cant find an original manual column or cannot afford an aftermarket one. seems like this thread might come in handy for some folks.

glad that it has helped a few of you out though.

my column conversion still looks as good as it did on day one!
 
I really enjoyed this article about the steering column conversion. I'm gonna start it tomorrow.
 
How did u guys remove the pin that holds upper column shifer. Installed a floor shifter and need to remove the column.
