I agree, there are some cool avatars.

On my phone I "pinch out" to enlarge them as much as possible.

As big as they will go without enlarging. Thumbnails have to be small and of course not many pixels. If you blow it up it will be out of focus and grainy. I kept clicking in this one to get it this big.
