Axle code question

I just bought a 67 barracuda and the axle code on the data plate is a 2. What does this mean? Thank you for your help.

2 = 2.94 axle ratio

I jacked the car up and it's an 8 3/4 spun it and it was a 3.23 sure grip Rearend replaced at one time?

It is very easy to replace. So if it's a 3.23 then someone changed it through the years.

It's a 273 auto on the column drum brakes basic car. Would it have been a 7 1/4?

could have been an 8 3/4 in 67. You can order the build car from Chrysler Historical for 45 and 4 weeks. it is what the broadcast sheets and fender tags are printed from. it gives some specific details on how you car was assembled at the factory.
