Quick question - do the axle seals go in flat part in or showing when looking in the tube? Don't have my shop manual where I'm working.

they go in with the flat part showing. I dont think you could install them the other way
..........pack the spring area with grease so the spring doesnt pop out during installation.........kim........
Good call! thats a bear trying to get that spring back on after it flys off

I know I'm right....
flat out, not other way to install it without ruining it. Lip in to keep gear juice in.
