B Body 904 Transmission int a 65 A Body

So I have everything but the converter figured out.

Someone mentioned the possibility of an adapter to go from the 68 transmission to the 67 273 motor. Anyone have any more information on this?

Like to avoid having to have a converter specially made if i can help it.

You will need a custom converter the bushing you are referring to is to put a small hub converter to a large hub crank and the 273 never had a large hub crank as it was dropped for 68 so a custom-made converter is your only option. Are you sure you have a 273 engine? Many a 273 have been replaced by a 318 back in the day.
 
can build it, I assume you mean it needs to be a small pilot 1.550 with a 122 ring gear and it needs to be the later model 27 spline input shaft correct? Is this correct?
