Hi, I bought a 8 3/4 3:23 sure grip from a fella a couple of months ago. Before I went to pick it up(about a 2 hour drive) I thought it was an entire rear end, but it was only the center section. He had a housing that I later found out was a B body 8 3/4. I've heard that you can work these to make them fit, can anyone tell me what exactly is involved in doing this? A Body rear housings are getting hard to come by it seems. Thanks!

Some will say to use it as is and have the springs tweaked a little due to the perches not being correctly aligned. I suggest moving the perches to the correct location and using the correct offset wheels to make up for the difference in length. It's that simple.

what year is it...if its 65-70, you'll be good.

here's my car with the 68 b-body rearend, and my perches are moved for offset shackles. It fits better than an a-body rearend!

those are 15x7 with 4.125 backspacing and 225/60R15's

1/2 inch per side. They currently will be 44" on center on the perches and they need to be 43" on center.
