Oh no, another B-17 gone, from the air show circuit, sad to say.
I remember the Collings Foundation B-17 crash, in Hartford, CT. a few years ago.
How many are still flying?

I caught the tail end of that on TV. Didn't get the details.... That sucks. Prayers for all affected. At least No one on the ground got hurt

Wow, just awful. Watched the video. Just so sad. A glimpse of what our vets have seen defending our freedoms. Prayers out to families affected.

My wife was telling me the sad news, she knows how much I love the older aircraft.

Rest in peace to the ones we lost.

I think 8 now
Later this summer from the makers of Band of Brothers and the Pacific is coming out Masters or the Air about the Bombing of Germany. My wife's great grandma was named on a B17 and it went down in 1943 but is having the name on one in the series. She was Alice From Dallas she worked for a few and last worked for Barnum and Baily in the freak show. She was 705 lbs but in the lower 400's when cancer got her.She was trying to lose her weight

A sad event for sure. It was reported this morning that the P63 pilot was told to take the lead by someone on the ground that was orchestrating the show. We will see what comes of that. Damn.
