doing an axle swap 7.25 to 8.75.
Problem is my 10" drum brake set-up wont fit new axle. The bolt-pattern on my new axle has 5 lugs and old backer-plate has 4 lugs AND the bearing on axle is too large to fit though backer plate hole in center or I'd just drill holes to fit pattern.

Question is where can I find a set of backer plates for a 8.75 axle that my old 10" set-up will fit on?

I've checked my local auto-parts stores, junk yards and ebay, carigslist?

Backing plates are the same except for the missing bolt hole. BUT, I should have two extra sets that will fit if there's something truly oddball with your setup. I'd take $50 for a pair plus shipping.

the hole in center of backing-plate where axle slides through is too small AND bp only has 4 lug holes and axle has 5 lugs. is this an odd set-up? this is my first time doing this type of work.

would upgrade to larger brake set-up but want the 5x4 sbp to keep my cragers I just bought this spring that why I need factory backer plate so my sbp drum will still fit
