Backspace OK on these?

I'm probably gonna buy some Cragars with a 3-3/4" backspace........

Back in the day, we never gave this a thought.......Is this backspace OK for an A-Body? (Duster, dart Sport, etc....)
 
Need more info…. How wide are the wheels and will they be for the front or rear.

Also, tire size front and rear would help.


For example…. 3 3/4" backspace would be fine on a 6" wide wheel but bad on a 10" wide wheel.
 
yes this all depends on how fat of a tire you want to run and how wide the wheel will be, if you want the wheels to fit under the wheel well lip or if you want that late 70 to early 80 street drag car look.things like this tell you backspacing size.
 
Fronts are just 70/14's on a 6" rim........rears are 235/60-15's and an 8" rim. (I can go 7 to suck it in a little if I have to).

What say ye?
 
You can also do what I did and put a "B" body rearend under that Duster. Then you can go with a reverse offset S/S Crager and not worry about doing a deep dish.
