Not griping about the deal I made - The car is fine. The problem is the guy owes me the original 340 engine/trans and a bunch of spare parts. It took a little while to get the car sent up here, and then shortly after I had made arrangements with a company to pick up the drivetrain and ship it, the seller suddenly got amnesia about finishing our deal up. He won't answer my calls or emails. He has 339 posts on here. His name is;
Brian Wiese
406 1/2 N. Water St.
Watertown, WI 53098
(920) 253 7880
If anyone can contact this person on my behalf and convince him to man up I'd be very grateful for the help. I know there was somebody else on this site that is in his home town - really appreciate the help...............
Regards

I am not sure if posting a members name and address is allowed on this forum. I know on some sites its grounds to get banned for good.

Good luck with getting your motor thou

His name is Demonweise and if he doesn't want his info here then he can man up - I've done my best to contact him. I'm just looking for some help here...
Daryl

Daryl, you might want to call the local sheriff to have a talk with him. Have all your info handy and tell them that he is unwilling to send you the items you rightfully paid for and consider it to be stolen items at this point. Have all your docs/e-mails handy about pick up attempts and so forth.

Good luck... if I was closer to the area in question I'd help you out.

Daryl bought a Yellow Demon IIRC.

Hope you get your stuff, that sucks. Did you buy the car that he had in his profile garage? How long has it been since you bought the car and talked to him?

His last online activity on this site was 1/7/08 at 6:03 pm.

Thats pretty shocking as hes been a member here from the beginning I believe.

He sold the car to you a long time ago didnt he ?

I hope all turns out well. Keep us posted.

He sold the car to me about the end of May last year. It took almost six/seven weeks to get it shipped up here. He talked to me in late Aug. or so about shipping the rest of the stuff and then .................?? no more calls after that. Like I said it wasn't a bad deal - no complaints, not whining, just looking for some help to track him down from a fellow member so I can have what's mine. I've been patiently phoning and emailing him. I feel that this step is appropiate (especially if he tries to sell anyone on here a 340/727!!)
Appreciate any help anyone can give me.
Thanks
Daryl

440WIP, I was going to send a friendly PM to Demonweise but when I attempt a search for him here, it comes back with: Invalid User specified. Any thoughts on this?

You have to click on the "exact" match box before you hit the search button, it worked for me.

I'm with crackedback on this one. Get every little detail such as emails that he sent you and so forth rounded up in a folder. Do it LEGALLY and he will have to man up. You might have to get a lawyer and do the whole nine yards but you will get your stuff or money more than likely. I would talk to a lawyer with all my documents and see what he has to say.

What was the arrangements for shipping that stuff to Canada? Depending on exactly what we're talking about, seems like shipping could cost more than it was worth. Just curious. Are we getting the whole story?

Lets not be so quick to call names. If I remember right he was selling the car because he was going through a Divorce.

That does put a little more spin on things. I went through a Divorce about 20 years ago and at some point you do lose control of your own life. While that does not forgive his for not following up, I can relate that you can reach the point where you just give up and say "to hell with it". I honored all of my committment through the whole situation but I can somewhat understand how this can happen but, as you said, Demonweise does need to stand up and be a man and clean-up this (and any other) situation because someone else is being hurt by his personal issues.

I met Brian a couple of times and he was alright. I actually met him through this site. If you PM me his number I will call him and see if I can sort this out for you. I do know he was going through a nasty divorce, I hope he didn't get desperate and sell off your engine/trans. I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt because the last time I did talk to him he mentioned the car for sale and he didn't have his own internet connection. It's quite possible he's without a working phone too, but who knows. 6-8 weeks to ship a car to Canada doesn't sound all that bad, considering how hard it is to get someone to pick up a car and take it across the border anyway...

I'm probably an hour and a half away but might be willing to get the driveline and help get it shipped if we can keep this civil.

I remember Brian being on the site all the time, In the chats room every night. I believe he joined the site right in the beginning in early 2004. I hope all is well with him and you guys can sort things out.

I see his number was listed above. i'll try calling him later tonight when I get home and see if I can help out. Whomever it is that is owed the engine might want to contact me so I know what I'm talking about and who when I call him.

Very nice offer and gesture, GTS.

Sounds very civil so far.

it has his yahoo instant messenger screen name on his profile if you don't already have yahoo instant messenger you might want to get it and see if he ever signs on and hopefully contact him that way.... Just a thought !

Sorry you are going through this, but at this point you may want to count it as a loss so you can move on and get some sleep at night if this attempt does not do you any good.

I've learned the hard way a few times after getting burned, it's just easier to cut the losses and say a couple prayers for the guy.
