BAD GUY ALERT - Need help please

-
I can't find a link to it, but from what I remember He had it for sale twice and I was asking about it, It should have had a 360 in it and he stated he had the numbers matching 340 with 727 ( that needed to be gone through ) in his garage that went with the car. That's what gave me a stiffy over the deal... a Demon that looked pretty good, ran and drove with a 360 in it and the original 340 came with it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not condeming anyone because I wasn't part of the deal. I'm just stating what I know (and remember) about what was offered for sale. I cleared my PM in box a couple days ago not thinking anything about it or I would post what I had.
I wish we could get ahold of him if for nothing more than to put this to rest and move on ( hopfuly happier than now )

I remember the ad because it caught my eye that the #'s engine came with it.

Just to clarify.... I received a lot of pictures of the car before I made my decision. Pictures looked good. I have no problem with the car. It's fine. There is no mistake on my part, the Demon is an "H" code - meaning it came from the factory with a 340 - not a 318. I would not have looked at it otherwise. Brian did include a number of parts that he heaved into the trunk at the last minute. The Demon was being shipped via a car transporter (took 2 1/2 weeks) and they do not carry freight. That's why there had to be a second shipping of freight. We definately made an agreement that I would arrange shipping to forward the #'s engine and transmission. Brian was at a loss as to what to do, so I phoned and made arrangements to get the stuff packaged and shipped (it did take a while to find someone). Then he stopped taking my calls. Make no mistake about it, I bought this as a #'s matching car - that was the deal. It was perfect ....I got a driver, and could work on the engine in my spare time, and in the end I'd have a numbers car. I made a fair deal and just expect him to hold up his end. If someone has new information to contact him I'd still appreciate the help. I bear no ill will, I'd just like to complete the deal. Thanks for the support.
Daryl

I guess I never realized the 340 was number matching I thought the 318 was original. Now I wish I would have had the money when he was selling it than there wouldn't be this issue! :-D
