Balance Drag Tires?

I have had a,M-60 balancer like this since the 80s. Balanced plenty of tires for street and drag use no problem. Bought a newer model M-67 same but plastic since came with plates to do 3/4- 1 ton rims and one for lug like VW.
Just looked amd wow the price on buying them went way up

A lot of my friends that drag race and don’t balance their tires have more issues with parts falling off their cars, harmonics, bolts continuing to loosen. I just shut my mouth and laugh inside.

I too have this balancer but can’t use it on my 14 inch slicks due to clearance issues. I have a Harbor Freight balancer for that job.
