where do I go to get torque specs: ball joint tapered mounting studs & ball joint to spindle mounting bolts? thank you for your time. RR

steering knuckle bolts (lower) 100 ft lbs. are these the 2 bolts that bolt the lower ball joint to the spindle? steering knuckle bolts (upper) 55 ft lbs. which are these? thank you for your time.RR EDIT are the lower ones the ones that bolt the lower ball joint to the spindle and the upper ones are the ones that bolt the brake caliper bracket to the spindle?

Probably the upper bolts for drum brake backing plate.

The steering knuckle upper bolts are the attaching bolts for the backing plate with a drum brake knuckle. These are specified at 55 foot-pounds.

The steering knuckle lower bolts are the attaching bolts for the lower ball joint to knuckle for disk brakes and lower ball joint to knuckle plus backing plate for the drum brake knuckle. The disk brake knuckle bolts are specified at 160 foot-pounds and the drum brake knuckle bolts are specified at 100 foot-pounds.

The caliper adaptor mounting bolts for the disk brake knuckle are specified at 75-100 foot-pounds.

ain't nobody got time for that! i gotta make book
A friend worked in a BMW dealership. He was doing something that required the transmission to be seperated from the engine. On reassembly he broke an ear off of the transmission, he asked he's manager what he should do. Manager said send it!
