Well I just got my 72 duster going, after i dont know how long it was sitting form the previous owner. Motor is strong, tranny is good. So I go to accelerate for the first time, and I feel a HUGE thud on my side, and the passenger said the same. And the thud happens again when I stop (very slow stop as the brake booster has failed (LOL).

I am guessing the ball joints are shot to hell, I also have front discs with 4 piston calipers (recently replaces discs, bearings, seals, grease, calipers and pads),

anyone know the part numbers to look for at the parts stores? I have kragen/autozone/pepboys close by... should I just replace with stock or are there any deals out there with vendors for poly stuff? Thanks!

Check the strut rod bushings for that "thud" then the upper arm bushings.

Ahhh that may explain why the tires are forming a V shape (both slant IN)... thanks!
