Ballast with after market wiring.

Do I need to use a ballast resistor with an after market wiring kit. In this case I have a slant 6 with points ignition in a 72 Dart. Someone put in an E-Z Wiring kit that is a rats nest. The wiring diagram that came with it is basic at best.

Yes usually a .5-.6 ballast, check your FSM. Only time you delete it is a one wire alt, Petronix etc.

Thanks, right now there are some wires attached to it but it hard to tell where they are going... It has a single wire alternator and a new style voltage regulator.
