Saw this on a car for sale on Hemming's. Thought it was pretty unusual. Wonder how it was done?

Agree!

The simulated nuts on each end of the script are replaced by screws, the black indented boarder trim is much wider and less defined.
Good start though and I like the idea!
 
Looks like the same car in the January '22 Hemmings Muscle Machines. Was wondering the same thing, how were those modified/recreated? Would like to do the same for my 68. Was a 318, now a 440. Since real 383 inserts are like hens teeth...
 
True. Guess I retired a bit too early. Might be a challenge on the Bridgeport.
 
Take two 3's place one forward one backwards makes an 8 then the 4 & 0 are there, 340 or 408
Hopefully that makes any damn sense
